Television
You can watch TV channels via the FREE box. Use the SONY remote home menu to select the box's hdmi (sat) then use the free remote to select the program. The Free box located under the TV has its LED lit up when it's switched off and vice versa.
Key sets
You have 2 sets of 6 keys hanging on the shelf as you enter the kitchen on the left.
- 1 key for the top and bottom bolts of the small shutter in the living room and the shutter in the bedroom
- 1 key for the lock on the bedroom shutter, the lounge shutter and the shutters of the two separate bedrooms.
- 1 key for the upstairs veranda
- 1 security key for the lock on the kitchen door shutter.
- 2 keys for the letterbox (1 for the inner door to the garden, 1 for the outer door). Opening the mailbox will be necessary in the event of failure of the gate opening controls. If the telephone company's network is absent, you'll find a button in the mailbox to control the gate (or in the kitchen by the intercom). If the EDF network is cut, a tool for unlocking the gate leaves is in the letterbox. The locks are located at the bottom of the sashes, close to the operators.
A set of 2 keys in the same place
- This set of keys is used to lock both doors of the independent bedroom on the first floor. Lift the slightly hard handle of the PVC door to turn the key
The swimming pool
The alarm
- Before taking a dip, enter the code 1234 directly on the keypad located on the poolside alarm, and the alarm will deactivate
- It resets itself as soon as the pool water calms down.
- If the alarm is triggered by bad weather, enter code 1234*99 and the last press on 9 will be silent. The alarm will then be disabled. You will need to be extra vigilant, as the pool will not be secured. You are entirely responsible for disabling the alarm. Press 1234 to reactivate
The robot
- It runs all day at its own pace. Never take it out of the water, as this will damage the filtration pump
- Likewise, if it gets in the way and you wish to disconnect the hose from the socket on the pool wall, do not reconnect it. It will be put back into service during the weekly Tuesday and Friday pool inspections.
Bubble cover and heat pump
- Outside July and August, the pool is heated and the temperature maintained by the bubble cover. The heat pump operates continuously, regulating the temperature. The cost of electricity over and above basic consumption is billed at the end of the stay. The higher the heating temperature, the higher your electricity bill. To avoid unpleasant surprises, you will be informed of the amount every two days.
- To remove the cover (this is a two-person operation), take the roller to the middle of the pool (marks are painted on the stones to indicate where to place the roller feet and wheels). Roll the tarpaulin counter-clockwise, making sure there are no wrinkles and that it doesn't rub on the stones near the roller; don't hesitate to lift it off the stones. Roll up the whole tarpaulin and the pull rope completely. Replace the roller with its cover at the end of the pool for bathing. Do this operation with care. (Cost of cover 700 euros)
- To put the cover back on (this operation must also be carried out by two people), grab the rope and, while the other person is unwinding the reel, reach the other end of the pool. Pulling on the rope should only be used to guide the tarpaulin. It must be unwound by turning the reel's handwheel. At the end of the operation, make sure that the grey and white alarm rods are in direct contact with the water.
The automatic gate
- When you drew up your contract, you gave us a telephone number (or numbers) valid during your stay. You can only open the gate with these telephones, by dialing a telephone number given to you on the contract.
- For security reasons, only dial this number when you see the gate. As a further safety precaution, only drive through the gate when the flashing light on the pillar is off. This ensures that the operation is complete.
- You need to make one call to open, then another to close, or wait 180 seconds for the gate to close.
- You can also open the gate using the button marked with a key on the kitchen intercom.
The coffee maker
- It's a Nespresso. You'll find a photo of it on the kitchen page.
- Buy Nespresso aluminum pods only.
- There's also a traditional filter coffee maker and a kettle for tea.
Air conditioning and heating
- The main thermostat near the living room cupboard should display the desired temperature, and should be set to "cool" in summer and "hot" in winter, never to "auto".
- The individual thermostats in the kitchen, first bedroom and living room must be set at a higher temperature than the main thermostat corresponding to the desired room temperature.
- The air conditioners in all rooms are reversible, cooling in summer and heating in winter. The three air conditioners in the bedroom with the 2 single beds, the independent bedroom on the ground floor and the bedroom overlooking the west staircase must have their remote controls set to the same function (hot or cold), otherwise the unit common to all three air conditioners will stop working.
- There's also a lovely open fireplace for winter flambés (wood is available on the property)
Bedding
- Beds are made up according to the number of people booked
- Beds are supplied with a draw sheet, fitted sheet, comforter with cover and two pillows.
- In all, there are 4 double beds 140*190 and two single beds 90*190 in 5 separate rooms, plus a cot with mattress and high chair
The barbecue
- A bottle of propane gas, which must always be kept closed when the barbecue is not in use, is provided at the start of your stay. Should it prove insufficient, a spare is available in the room under the stairs. Please inform the owner if you change the bottle during your stay.
- Always clean the barbecue after use. Parts that get dirty can be easily dismantled and put in the dishwasher. A video on how to remove barbecue parts is available on our website.
- The barbecue must be returned clean at the end of your stay. Cleaning is not included in the cleaning option.
- If the regulator at the cylinder outlet trips, there is a small pin under the regulator which must be pressed firmly to reset it
Garbage cans
- Household waste can be taken out on Sunday evenings, Tuesday evenings and Thursday evenings (collection the following morning)
- Plastic and cardboard garbage cans can be taken out every Monday evening, with one of them being collected the following morning (one week plastics, one week cardboard)
Once the garbage cans have been emptied, they must be returned to the garden, as the condominiums do not like the garbage cans to remain on the sidewalks.
220-volt power supply and additional billing
- The main circuit breaker is located under the mailbox in the pillar inside the garden
- If opening the gate with the telephones doesn't work, it may be due to the free network. In this case, there's a button in the mailbox to open the gate (you have the mailbox keys on your keychain). If it's an EDF problem, a key to unlock the gate is in the letterbox. Unlocking takes place flush with the ground at the level of each leaf.
- Additional billing is based on consumption measured from Saturday 0:00 to Thursday 24:00. The meter reading is that taken by ENEDYS and available on the owner's ENEDYS account. As the electricity cost for the week is announced on Friday, this day will be considered as the average of the previous six days. The cost of the additional KWh is that fixed in the rental contract.
Cleaning at the end of your stay
- Cleaning does not include dishwashing (the dishwasher must be returned empty), cleaning of the barbecue or cleaning of the garden if you have pets.
The garden
- You can light the garden and the pool with the remote control located on the key shelf in the kitchen (Button 1 pool and garden to be placed for good reach at the corner of the balcony at the top of the stairs starting from the garage. Buttons 2 and 3 light up the east and west staircases respectively, and button 4 activates the garden sprinkler system. For these last 3 buttons (234), you need to stand in the middle of the stairs leading from the garage to get a good reach.
- There's a built-in watering system for the garden at night. If you open the taps in the garden during the day, be sure to close them again, as the water present at night will run out and be wasted. Thank you
- Unless you specify otherwise, the gardener maintains the garden every Tuesday afternoon.
